It’s a windy, cold nasty day except that it’s sunny. It is a good day for staying inside. I have to go to the office and leave them my garage remote to fix–again. It isn’t working; the light does not turn on when I press the buttons. It is put together, but doesn’t work.
The inspectors came today to check certain things for the mortgage. Nothing was said, so I guess everything was okay. We just got a notice that we will have no water on Thursday, due to the construction. Again. I also have to get the handyman to fix my smoke detector in my bedroom since it has fallen down, and I have to have an electrician come to check my fuse box since the power goes off for no reason several times a year.I also have to have someone look at the downstairs toilet that won’t stop running unless you fix it manually. After the cleaners come, I have to have the garbage disposal fixed. I have quite the list of things to be done. Well, I have been here over 3 years, so things are going to break and go wrong, I guess.
I somehow misplaced my debit card yesterday after the guy delivered the Chinese food. I looked all over for it, but could not find it. So I called the bank to cancel the card and tomorrow I will have to go and get a temporary one at the bank and then I’ll get a new one in a week to 10 days. I have no idea where it went. I know the guy gave it back to me, but I have no idea where I put it. But it doesn’t matter now, because the card is canceled. I was going to go to the bank today but I’ve been waiting for the lady who does the organizing is supposed to call but she hasn’t called yet and it’s almost 5 p.m. But I have to go out to get the temporary card tomorrow. I can’t be without one. Drat. Now I have to memorize a new number.
I talked to the woman from Argosy University and filed my application today. I gave 4 references and I just hope and pray that they can be contacted and give me a good recommendation. They were supposed to be professional or academic. I have Tish I can try if one doesn’t work out. Abudharr better give me a recommendation, since I’ve given him a good recommendation for a job. I put him down with all his information anyway.
Gosh, it’s cold!
