No Work Today

Thank heaven Brenda called last night and we put off doing our work until next weekend. I was not able to get anything done this week–well, as much as I’d wanted–because of the crazy Internet problem. I need to call The Salvation Army and find out what time they are picking up the TVs. I need to call Time Warner because the techs did not show up yesterday to replace the router. I feel like giving up on the router or buying one myself since Time Warner doesn’t seem to be able to provide one. I don’t like having to be tethered to the modem but that’s the only thing that works at the moment. I can’t deal with another day of waiting for techs today. Maybe I’ll call tomorrow or Monday. I just can’t face it today. Tomorrow I want to bag some clothes to take to Goodwill and bag the garbage upstairs so the maids can take it out on Monday. I want to get some things done today but I’m glad we’re not doing the work today, since I am not prepared. I feel bad about it but I just couldn’t do anything this week with the Internet situation. I’ll try again on Monday, I guess.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
