I called CASA of San Antonio today so that I can get started on my volunteer work for my certificate in Forensic Psychology for the The Chicago School. They were very glad to hear from me, and I was very glad that their orientation classes start very soon: February 22 through March 10 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday. I will be missing quite a few OASIS classes but this is far more important.
I also got a call from Bill at The Chicago School and my resume and goals statement need some changes. So I will get those down as soon as I can. I am anxious to get back into the field in CASA. These children need advocates and I want to be involved in this right away. This is an intergral part of my Certificate in Forensic Psychology. I feel so good that I am getting involved and will be on my to professional work with children. I feel so strongly about this issue.
I was scared off for a while because of what happened in Oklahoma with my brother and the children. But that was an anamoly, I’m sure. This is where I wan to be, even if I were not going back to school. I have the dates scheduled for CASA open houses and orientation, so I will be all set to go. Thank you, God, leading me to the place I need to be.
