My Dream Vacation

My dream vacation would be a tour of the major cities of Europe. London, Dublin, Paris, Venice, Rome, Marseilles, Florence, Naples, Lyons, Nice, Country Mayo in Ireland, Barcelona, Madrid, Vienna, Zurich, Geneva, Munich, Greece, Prague–all these are cities I would like to visit again, even though I’ve been to many of these cities on my last trip to Europe. I would love to have a few months to visit all these cities in Europe. I never tire of seeing the works of art and architecture of these amazing cities. There is nothing in the USA that can match the beauty, history, and culture of these cities. All are unique in their own way, and would bring me much joy as I would take in the history and culture of these cities. Besides the history and art and architecture, these cities also have amazing food. There is so much to see and do in all these cities. This would be my dream vacation.

My last vacation was very different from my dream vacation but was also enjoyable. I visited friends and family in upstate New York. I got to see snow and have Thanksgiving dinner with friends in Schenectady. Then I went on to the Utica-Rome area in central New York to visit relatives that I had not seen in quite a while. I visited my 90-year-old uncle and my cousin and his wife. I stayed with my sister and visited my nieces and their families. It was a pleasant visit with my friends and relatives and very different from my dream vacation but an enjoyable vacation, nevertheless.

Whether it is a dream vacation or a vacation to visit family and friends, it is always nice to take a vacation.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
