Magic Trees

A magic tree would be wonderful. In fact, I would like two magic trees. Since this is my blog, I can do that.

My first magic tree would be filled with books. Books of every sort, hanging from every branch. E-books would also be there as well as handcovered and softcovered books. Nonfiction books, novels, books of poetry, biographies, sacred books, textbooks, books of every kind would be dripping like leaves from the many branches of this magical tree. They would all be there for the picking and I would certainly be picking books every day to satisfy my appetite for books.

My other magic tree would be a beautiful tree with branches of mosaic tiles. I love to make mosaics and my tree would supply me with every color and type of glass tile that I could use to make my mosaic pictures. Tesserae of ceramic tiles (glazed and unglazed). glass tiles, broken pottery pieces, smalti tiles, marble, glass and mirros: all of these beautiful tesserae would be dripping from every branch of the tree in every color imaginable so that they would all be accessible for me to use in my mosaic pictures. Never would I have to search and hunt down the materials I need for my pictures. They would be right at my fingertips.

These two magic trees would make me so happy and occupy all my time, I might not even have time to study for class or to write my blog!

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
