K is for Karma

I am a Muslim, not a Buddhist or Hindu, but I still believe in Karma. I believe in the Universe or the Supreme Being providing what you need when you need it. I have seen it happen in my life over and over again. When I needed money for something and didn’t have it, somehow the money appeared from somewhere, exactly what I needed, no more nor less.

I believe in God or the power of the Universe to make things right or even things out. When people are mean or deceiving or have done something not right, somehow, some way the Universe sorts it out and will pay back those people the harm they have done. If might not happen right away, but eventually karma catches up with you. If you are a loving, caring person and do the right thing, it might seem like you get burned but later the good comes back to you. It’s really a simple concept. If you are patience and kind to a store clerk, chances are good that person will be kind to you. If you bitch and moan and complain and have little patience, you will get the service you deserve.

So be kind and loving to people. Don’t be bitchy and obnoxious. Karma is a bitch. What you send out will come back to you.

This post is part of a month-long series, A-Z, that I am participating in for the month of April.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

Very true! Karma can be a harsh mistress.
