The worst driver (besides myself) that I have ridden with is my sister. She is just a terrible driver but very lucky that she has had very few accidents. I believe that is due to living in a small town where people drive rather well. She constantly rides the brakes with her left foot. I know my parents didn’t teach her to drive that way but for the past 40 years that’s the way she’s driven. I have to ride with her when I go to visit her in New York because the town as changed so much I have no idea where I’m going. So I basically have no choice.
My all time worst driver is me. I have very poor night vision and so try to stay home at night so I don’t run over things. All the accidents I’ve had, however, except one, were the fault of others. Hit-and-run, runners backing into me, etc. I rear-ended a truck but I was on heavy medication at the time and going to see my therapist at the time. A car cut off the truck in front of me who was making an illegal U-turn, but I hit him so it was my fault. Luckily it didn’t cause much damage to his truck but a lot to my car. This last accident was the worst. A hit-and-run driver basically took off the entire left side of my car with a truck and a trailer. It took 7 weeks to get the car fixed. It was ridiculous. It had to go to two body shops and then go back to the second because they didn’t reconnect a hose. So my advice would be don’t drive with me, ride with my sister.
