The Security System

I got a phone call this morning from my daughter’s security service to tell me that they had detected an outage of telephone service at their house. In the middle of the night last night, the cable tv went out and usually when that goes out, the telephones go out too. But I suppose I should go over there and check to see if everything is alright. I don’t know3 what I’ll do if it isn’t. Call the police, I guess. But it probably was just the outage from last night. Except I still feel like I should go over and check to see if everything is okay. The girls will stop over this afternoon to check on the cats, but I guess I should just see of everything is okay. I wish they would have told me to go and check or not.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
