Whenever Word press has one of these “invention” things or “in the future” themes, they always focus on jetpacks or time machines or something out of Star Trek. I swear there is a bunch of Trekkies running Word Press.
My hope for an invention in rather modest. I have two requests: one for an invention that will de-clutter my house and the other to add time to a day when I need it.
The de-clutterer would get a great work-out in my house. Every room in my house is cluttered because I am too damn lazy to pick up and sort stuff and put things in their proper places or else throw them away. The de-clutterer needs to be able to make some of those decisions for me and then begin the de-cluttering process. This would save me enormous amounts of frustration when I look for something that I KNOW came in the mail the other day but now cannot find it to save my soul because it was sucked into the clutter on the dinning room table. I would not forget to pay another bill. I would not have to buy birthday cards twice because I lost the first one. The de-clutterer would be a marvel to behold.
The other invention has been mentioned on a commercial but is a needed invention. It is the extra time machine. There are days when you need just a little more time to get something done. For example, you might need two more hours to finish a paper you have for school. This extra time machine would give you the extra two hours by stopping time so that you could finish your paper and turn it in to the professor before the time due. If you needed an extra hour to do the grocery shopping, you could get that hour and put it to good use.
These two inventions would be personally useful for me and I’m sure would also be helpful to lots of other folks.
