20 Days “Til Death

This is another rather lame Word Press prompts and, I promise, this blog post will be rather lame, too. So here are somethings I would do if I had only 20 day left.

1.I would clean my house. My house is very cluttered and I would clean it up and declutter in order to help my daughter when she has to clean out the apartment.
2.I would take my dogs back to the rescue society for Japanese Chins so they would go to good homes.
3.I would be very faithful about saying my prayers on time (I always say them, though sometimes not at the right times).
4.I would make sure my will was up to date. I want certain people to have certain things and I would make sure that it was in order.
5.I would probably not post anymore. Too much to do.
6.I would fly back to New York to say goodbye to my brother and sister, knowing they would not be able to come to the funeral.
7.I would make arrangements for my funeral with the masjid (mosque) so my daughter wouldn’t have to do it and perhaps screw it up.
8.I would read the last Sister Fidelma mystery. Than I will have read all the books in the series. I would also read the latest Claire Ferguson mystery for the same reason.
9.I would give away most of my clothes and things to Goodwill and box the collectibles for Ebay.
10.I would meditate on the names of God as Sufis do. It can’t hurt.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

It would be nice, I think, to know when D-day will be, then everything could be organised beforehand.
