To Live Forever

What would I do about differently about my life if I thought I were going to live forever? That’s another lame but tough question. Here is what I would do?

1.I would try to make things more smoothly with my daughter, first of all. We are estranged enough and the time to get over our problems with each other is long over-due.
2.I would have more time to work on CASA cases; once one is over, there is another that needs help.
3. I would have more time to work on my mosaics. I love doing mosaics and there would be time to work on them.
4.I would spend some time decluttering and cleaning my house. It’s a mess and needs straightening and cleaning.
5.I would make sure I got to my classes at the masjod (mosque) on Wednesdays and Saturdays and make sure I go to Friday prayers (Juma’a).
6.I would plan to visit my family in New York regularly, like every year or two. We need to maintain our relationships and visits in person help. I would take some time to visit my relatives in Virginia, Louisiana, and Massachusetts as well.
7.I would have more time to spend with my precious granddaughters and watch as they grown to womanhood.
8.I would find the money to continue my education in forensic psychology. If I had unlimited time, I could apply myself more to my studies. Of course, I would need more money.
9.I would work on my Arabic and Spanish language lessons.
10.I would definitely be happy reading more books since I would have more time.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

  1. I’d take better care of my skin. Forever is a long time to look like shit!
