30 Day Book Challenge

30 Day Book Challenge
Day 7: Book you can quote/ recite
This would have to be the Qu’ran. I recite portions of it, as do millions of others, every day five times a day as we say out daily prayers. For me this is the easiest way to learn to recite the Qur’an. I try to select a new sura (chapter) every few months to learn to recite and incorporate it into my prayer routine. That way I can learn a little more of the Qur’an little by little.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

That’s such a good idea. Mind when you add another chapter you reduce it by one of the first. Every few days, maybe once a weeek, you could recite all you have learnt. Good luck with this huge undertaking. 🙂
