Dream House

My dream house sits high on a bluff overlooking the ocean (it doesn’t matter which one). It is a sprawling home with many bedrooms for guests, and a large, open living room and dining area. The kitchen has the finest equipment and the most modern. It is a very modern house but furnished in a French country style. There is a music room with a grand piano and many large green plants. There is a room devoted to plants, mostly succulents, bonsai, african violets, and bamboo plants. The patio, accessed from the music room, is surrounded by glorious rose bushes. There are large old trees surrounding the house and providing shade.

One wing of the house is devoted to the bedrooms and bathrooms, one for each bedroom. There is a media room where one can watch movies in a theater-like atmosphere. There are many floor to ceiling widows to let in the light and from which one can see the view of the ocean. Of course, the house comes with several housekeepers and a chef. This is my dream house, where I would live in comfort.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
