What one “luxury” do you refuse to live without?

I could not live without the luxury of chocolate. I know that probably sounds like a silly thing, but to me, chocolate is a luxury. I love dark chocolate, especially dark chocolate raspberry truffles, and if I couldn’t have them every now and then, I don’t know what I would do. If I can’t have the truffles, good dark chocolate will do. It has to be dark chocolate. I don’t like milk chocolate; it’s too sweet and I don’t like the taste. Besides being a wonderful luxury, dark chocolate is actually good for you in moderation. Studies have proved this. There are chemicals in the dark chocolate that are good for your heart. So I feel justified in indulging in dark chocolate treats every now and then. Besides, it’s a luxury that doesn’t hurt anyone and brings a lot of joy to me.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

I love chocolate! Especially dark one, or truffles, like you.
