Quiet Time

When you need quiet time, where do you go?

For me, because I live alone, this is not a difficult question because I always have quiet time (unless the dogs have decided to get a little rowdy). I usually veg out on my futon sofa and read on blog or surf the Net. If I feel i need to meditate, I go to my loft where I have my prayer room and meditate or pray. My apartment complex has a nice area for walking too within the complex if I want to do quiet time with nature. I am indeed fortunate to have so many options of how to spend my quiet time. We all need space to spend our quiet time and we all need quiet time. Take the time to carve out the space and time you need for yourself. You won’t regret it.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

Quiet time is hard to come by when you have a wife, daughter, father-in-law, two dogs, and a cat under one roof!
