Six Word Saturday

Time for training class at CASA.

Today I have a three-hour training class at CASA. We usually have a one-hour class on Wednesdays, a brown bag training, but sometimes there is a more extensive training course scheduled at certain times during the year on different topics. This one is on trauma suffered by children in care and I anticipate it being a good course. Most children in our care have suffered some sort of trauma: physical or emotional. It is good to know how to help them deal with it. I am so glad that CASA provides classes to help us with our continuing education.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

  1. I do hope that you enjoyed your class. Three hours is a long time to keep alert ( for me anyway)

I am still waiting to be approved!

Hats off to you for doing the work you do…the children are lucky to have you!
