What is your favorite way to procrastinate?

I love to read. Anything. Anytime. Anywhere. That is my procrastination excuse. I can always find something to read that is better than some mundane task that I hate doing. And I very often given into temptation and read when I should be doing something constructive and necessary. But I look at my reading as constructive, too. I’m often learning about something new. I don’t just read trashy novels that have no redeeming value. I read books that teach me something, even novels that are historical novels. So I feel justified in my reading. Consequently, nothing much gets done at my house as I can always find something to read. My Kindle has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have worn out two of them and am now on my third. I procrastinate far too often.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

I’m with you… I like to read technical stuff like on physics, optics, or some applied field.

Don’t be too hard on yourself, we all do that.
