Six Word Saturday

It’s Not As Cold As Yesterday.

Yesterday we had a freeze. Yes, in south Texas, we had a freeze. We usually don’t have a freeze until the end of November but it came a little early this year. It was cold in the morning, but it got warmer during the day and today is much warmer. It was cold, I think, because it was so clear after a windy and cold day the day before. This morning is in the high 50s and should be in the 70s during the day and sunny so it should be a pleasant day.

I hope it’s nice tomorrow because it’s Eid Al-Adha, little Eid, and the masjid has a festival after morning prayers and I hope it’s nice weather for the festival. It will be cool in the morning but by the time we leave prayers it will start to warm up. That will make for a nice celebration.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

Hope the celebration went well. That cold snap was pretty cool wasn’t it? It was down to 26 here…now back to being warm and humid today…..
