Balancing Life.

How do you balance you children, work relationships, and your life?

I don’t have too many things in my life to balance so this is sort of a moot question for me. My child is grown and has a family of her own. I’m retired and don’t work. I do have outside activities that I’m involved in and I enjoy, and I go to them and balance them with my home activities. I am one of those fortunate people who can do pretty much as I please and no one is clamoring for my attention except for the dogs. I have to balance my many doctors’ appointments with my other activities, but for the most part I can pretty much do as I like. Sometimes I wish I did have things to juggle and balance but for the most part I’m happy with my life. I have time to tutor a child in reading at the elementary school and give back to the community in that way. I have time to go to the masjid on Fridays and not rush to to do. I am a fortunate person.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
