Passionate about Islam

Are you pursuing a passionate project?

This probably isn’t the best topic for the holiday season but I’m going to go with it anyway because it it my passion.

I don’t know if you could call it a passionate project or not, but I am passionate about my religion. I became a Muslim about 18 months ago and it has made my life complete and fulfilled. It has filled up the empty space in the my life. It has given my life purpose and direction. Before I was floundering and confused, but now I know where I am going and what I am doing. My religion provides a foundation for my life and a structure for my life. I am passionate about it. I am happier now in my life than I have been in many years because I have found the direction for my life. I thank God every day that He led me to Islam and I am proud to be a Muslima.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

The book version of The Book of Terrible is the focus of my passions right now – and the wife, of course!
