Update on Book and Film Challenge

I have a book and film challenge this year to read 50 books and see 25 films this year. Here is my first update:

I finished reading Two for the Lions by Lindsey Davis today. It is part of the Marcus Didius Falco mystery series (which I love). Falco is an informer in 1st century Rome who becomes involved in mysteries. Davis introduces us to a variety of lovable and not so lovable characters who stay with the series, and I am reading the books in the series in order. (I’m picky like that.) In this book, Falco is involved with gladiators, lions, the Census, a trip to the province of Africa, and his annoying family. One down, 49 books to go. Twenty-five films to go.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
