At My Best

When are you at your best?

I’m at my best early in the morning. Very early. My meds are working and I am alert and very productive. I can get a lot accomplished and can also get out and do errands and go to appointments and have lots of energy. As I said, I think a lot of it has to do with the meds. I tend to go downhill as the day progresses. After 3 p.m., I tend to lose energy and motivation and I become worthless. After 5 p.m. I am absolutely no good to anyone. So if you want to catch me at my best, catch me in the mornings. That is why I try to make all my appointments in the mornings and arrange to do all my work in the mornings. That’s when the dogs go out and I am energized by the cool weather as well. I am definitely a morning person.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

I’m not really a morning person, but I’m glad you are!
