Book and Film Challenge Update

I have finished my fourth book in my 50 book challenge. I have yet to see a film. The latest book was another Marcus Didius Falco mystery, A Body in the Bath House by Lindsey Davis. This book brings us back to Falco’s favorite place (I say that with irony), Britain, but only after a body has been discovered in the new bathhouse of Falco and Helena’s new home, which they are swapping with Falco’s Pa. Falco is being sent to Britain as an auditor to oversee the cost overruns on the project to build a palace for the great King of the Britons. He’s not the most favorite person there, and become less so when a body is found in the king’s bath house in his old palace. During his auditing, Falco is on the lookout for his own bath house contractors who left the buried body in his own bath house. This could be called “Too Many Bodies in the Bath Houses.” Four down, 46 to go. twenty-five films still on the list.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
