Book and Film Challenge Update

I have finished my eighth book, The Accusers by Lindsey Davis. This is another Marco Didius Falco mystery in which Falco acts as a type of lawyer in court, at first defending a young man accused of murdering his father, then as prosecutor accusing the young man’s mother of the murder. The plot is very complicated with many twists and turns and keeps one tethered to the book as the reader follows the arguments the “lawyers” make in court. I found the book fascinating as Falco tries to discover the secret this family really holds and the true murderer of the father of the family, as well as learning the role played by the lawyers for the family. I enjoyed this book immensely. It was a Perry Mason type book. Eight down, 42 to go.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
