A-Z Challenge; I is for Ice Cream

A to Z Challenge; I is for Ice Cream

I love ice cream, just not the same ice cream all the time. Right now I have four pints (or a little less since the manufacturers except Ben and Jerry’s cut back the packaging) of different flavors of ice cream and sorbet in my freezer. Since I’m the only one who eats the ice cream in my house and therefore it’s not unsanitary, I eat straight from the carton a little at a time, sometimes two flavors a night, sometimes just a little of one flavor. This way I don’t get tired of the same flavor hanging out in the fridge for weeks on end while I try to eat a half gallon of the stuff. The pints last me quite a while because it doesn’t take much to satisfy my craving for ice cream. Just a little taste is all I need. But I do wish everyone would go back to a pint of ice cream instead of something that looks like a pint but really isn’t.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
