Book and Film Challenge Update

I have finished book eleven of my 100 book challenge. I read Scandal Takes a Holiday by Lindsey Davis (I have only a few more of her books to go in the series.) In this Marcus Didius Falco book, Falco and his family are on holiday in Ostia, a port city, while he looks for a missing scandal columnist (yes, they had them in Roman times) who has disappeared. In his search for the missing man, Falco runs into pirates, ex-pirates, kidnappers, his long-lost uncle whom no one ever talks about, And his wacky family is featured again as well. And being near water, Falco of course falls in and as we know, he can’t swim, but all turns out well and he solves the mystery. I likeds this book. It has many subplots and it all tied up well in the end. Eleven down, 89 to go.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
