Book and Film Challenge Update

My twelfth book in this challenge was See Delphi and Die by Lindsey Davis, another marco Didius Falco murder mystery. In the mystery story, Aulus, Helens’s brother has gone of to Athens to study law but has taken a bit of a detour and joined up with a group of tourists who are seeing the sites in Greece. He has written home for Falco’s help because a young woman on the tour has been murdered. So naturally, Falco and Helena hop a ship to Greece and join up with the tour to investigate the murder. They are also investigating the death of a young woman who disappeared on a similar tour three years earlier. With them on this trip they have taken two of their nephews and the son of Falco’s trainer, as well as the dog. Suddenly, people on the tour start dying and disappearing and Falco has his hands full of mysteries to solve as he also tries to catch up with Aulua who has moved on to Athens to begin his studies. Finally the mysteries are solved at a dinner party in Athens in a very unappetizing manner. Twelve down, 88 to go.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
