Living with a Relative

If you had to live with one member of your extended family for a year, who would it be and why?

If I had to live with a member of my extended family for a year, I’d live with my sister. My sister is about 2 1/2 years younger than me and is the world’s greatest grandmother. She is a really active person while I am a more laid-back person. She is more extroverted than I am. I think it would be good for me to live with her and learn to become more like her. Maybe she could teach me to sew. She is a great seamstress. She also makes many different kinds of crafts. She keeps herself busy most of the time. I would like to be more like her. She has a great sense of humor and is fun to be around. She is more high energy than me, but we could work out the times that I need down time. We are much closer than we were than when we were children and more competitive. Now that we’re adults, we’re more friends as well as sisters. She would be the person that I could spend a year with. She could teach me a lot and maybe she could learn something from me.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

My father-in-law moved in with us a year ago – it’s been great so far! Most of the time, that is!
