Six Word Saturday

I’m working on my book today.

Funny who you meet on blogs. I met a young man (well, younger than me, but most people are) whose father was famous during my days in university as an activist and whom I read much about. Well, it seems that this young man found my blog and read it and and my page and liked it and encouraged me to write a book about my experiences of becoming a Muslim at my late stage in life. I replied to him and told him that i had already had written most of a book and was finishing it up and needed an agent and publisher (not easy). He sent me the name and links to his publisher and told me to mention that he recommended me! So I dropped the agent an email yesterday and told him about my book and hope to hear from him by dropping this young man’s name as a recommendation (whom he includes in his vitae as one of his authors). Maybe something will come of it, maybe not. But it would be noce. So it encouraged me to get back to the book, at any rate, which has been niggling my brain. So on a very foggy drizzly day I will work on my book.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
