Book and Film Challenge Update

Chief Inspector Gamache and his team are again called to the tiny village of Three Pines in the Eastern Townships of Qubec in this novella, The Hangman, by Louise Perry, the 40th book I have read in this challenge. A man has been found in the woods near the Inn and Spa, hanging from a tree. At first it appears that this is a suicide, but Gamache believes it is murder. They don’t know who the victim really is nor why he is there. They discover his identity and find he has left a suicide note. But is this this really a suicide or is it murder? The coroner says it is murder, but the clues lead to suicide. Gamache and his team have their work cut out for them in this short novella. Forty down, 60 to go.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
