Six Word Saturday

I’m working on editing my book.

I haven’t worked on my book in several months–well, more than several. But the son of a famous Black Activist from the 1960s read my blog this past week and encouraged me to write a book about my experiences as a former Christian woman adopting Islam and even directed me toward some sites to look for literary agents. So I thought I’d better get back to work on the book, which is mostly done except for editing and the last few chapters. Then begins the great search for a literary agent. But in the meantime, there is work to be done. At least I have thought through the last chapters which I was stuck on (writer’s block, you know) but I now have a clearer idea of how they should go. So it’s back to work.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
