Book and Film Challenge Update

The tenth film I saw was the blockbuster film of the summer (or so they say) The Avengers.  I was a bit worried that I would not be able to follow what was happening in the movie because i am not into the comic book scene, but this proved not to be the case. I  could easily figure out the good guys from the bad guys (though I think Loki is a bit misunderstood and all he needs is a good therapist). Robert Downey, Jr. does a great job as Iron Man and Scarlett Jo as The Black Widow is wonderful and beautiful. The only real problem I had was that all the flashing from stuff blowing up gave me a migraine. But there are some great one-liners in the film and some great chuckles. Go see this film. The 2 hours and 22 minutes go by quickly. Ten down, fifteen to go.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

You saw The Avengers? Your cool factor just increased by a million!
I know that makes no sense, just go with it…
