Dreams or Reality?

Would you rather have a video copy of your dreams or a datebook of the events of each day of your life?

I would rather have a video of my dreams. I know what has happened in my very noneventful life day to day. I have lived it and I already know what has happened, and for the most part, I wouldn’t want to relive a day of my life. But dreams are different. They are mysterious. They are symbolic. They are representative of something deeper in your soul. So often I wake and remember only pieces of dreams and wish I could remember the entire dream and analyze it and think about it and try to figure out what it means. If I had a video of the dream, I could do that. I could see the entire dream and finally see what the dream was really about. I would still have to do the work of interpreting the dream and figuring out what was hidden in the dream but I would have all the pieces of the dream all together in one place in the correct order and the dream would make as much sense as it could. Then the work of deciphering the dream would be up to me. That’s why I would LOVE to have a video of my dreams, even the upsetting ones, so that I could figure out what they really are saying to me.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
