Truth or Ignorance?

Would you rather always know the truth or would you rather be blissfully ignorant sometimes?

I would rather know the truth than remain ignorant, no matter how much the truth hurts. I have been in the position where my husband was cheating on me and others knew and did not tell me, though I had my suspicions and I would have much rather known so that I could have planned what to do rather than have it hit me in the face several months down the road when I wasn’t prepared for it. It is better to know the truth. The same thing happened with my second husband who swore he wouldn’t divorce me over my getting into debt and then went out and filed divorce papers and had me served with the divorce papers suddenly in my own driveway. He should have been forthright enough to tell me he wanted a divorce but did not have the guts enough to do it himself. No matter how difficult the truth is for either party, the truth should be told as soon as possible. Anything else is a lie. The truth eventually comes out anyway, so get it out NOW.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
