WWW Wednesday (on Thursday)

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m currently reading Think: Straight Talk for Women to Stay Smart in a Dumbed-Down World by Lisa Bloom. Ms. Bloom is outraged at the way women allow themselves to be uninformed in our complex world today. She gives many examples and I’m only half-way through the book. She makes a compelling case for the dumbing-down of our world, and women in particular.

I recently finished reading The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest by Steig Larsson, the last in the trilogy of the Larsson The Girl Who… series. It was a good read, not as good as The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, but a suspensful book, nonetheless. It focuses on the special section in the Swedish Security Police and the victimization of Lisbeth Salander, and her collaboration with Mikael Bloomquist to gather information for her trial.

I plan to read The Hobbit by J.R.R.Tolkien. I have never read it and I have always wanted to read it. So it’s next in the queque.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
