Six Word Saturday

I’d better do some reading today.

In two weeks I have two book club discussion groups. For one that I’m committed to (and that I missed last month because of my untimely accident of falling flat on my face on the concrete by our mailboxes and getting the worst bruises and contusions I have ever had in my life–but I digress), I only have to read one chapter but it is a rather dense book so I have to read it several times and take notes. The other book group which meets just before the other group is reading a novel based on the Old Testament, and I’d like to try to see if I want to read it. I downloaded a sample of the book on my Kindle and if I like it, I’ll buy it and keep going. At any rate, there’s a lot of reading to be done and I’d better do it. I’ve slacked off a bit while I’ve been working on my Arabic lessons, so I need to strike a balance. I often feel quite wrung out after concentrating so hard on learning my Arabic lessons that I haven’t had the energy to read. So I have to take things in moderation. And read.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
