Book and Film Challenge Update

The 81st book I read for the challenge shouldn’t really count for much since it was a young people’s book by Alexander McCall Smith called The Great Cake Mystery: Precioud Ramotswe’s Very First Case. It is the story of a young Mma Ramotswe in her school days who solves the mystery of the disappearing cakes and treats of her classmates at school. A boy who is fat, named Poloko, has been accused of stealing the cakes and buns and Precious believes him when he says he did not steal them. Precious sees monkeys who have a stcky bun from the lunch room and believes they are the culprits, and so she satches a plan to catch the monkeys in the act of stealing a cake. It is her very first detective case. Her father had told her that she would make a good detective and she proved him right. Eighty-one down, 19 to go.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
