Book and Film Challenge Update

The thirteenth film the granddaughters and I saw this year was Perfect Pitch. It’s a great fim for Glee fans. It’s about a capella singing groups on a college campus, with a little love interest thrown in.  The Barton Bellas are stuck in the 70s in the singing until a new girl comes along and helps them break into the 2000s and makes their music sound fresh and new. It’s an uproariously funny film as well, with a rivalry between the Bells and the Warblers, the men’s a capella group. There’s not much of a plot, but a lot of good singing and just a lot of fun. Go see it.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
