I Hope I Finish The Book.

I have been reading Gone Girl for a while. I have been reading mainly in the evenings for a bit after the news and before I nap while the shows are on and before I take the dogs out, maybe for an hour or so. I’m a fast reader but I hadn’t made as much progress as I’d wanted, even though the book is really a good read. I could have read during the day but I was knitting during the daylight hours because I don’t like to knit at night–the light in my house isn’t good for it, whereas my Kindle Fire™ is paper-white and I can see just fine to read at night (Woo-Hoo!). But yesterday I decided I was close enough to the end of my knitting project that I could skip a day and decided to read and I went from 53% of the book read to 85% of the book read (I know because the e-reader tells me so). So today, besides wanting to know how the story ends, I am in closing distance of finishing the book. So I will finish this post, write my Postcrossing postcard, and finish reading Gone Girl, I hope. Then I will have read book number 2 in my challenge and can write my review.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.

We are so alike!! I only like to crochet during the daylight hours because I just can’t seem to get the lighting right in the evenings, and I’ve been gifted a Kindle Fire myself recently so my reading is going through the roof at night (woohoo times two!!)
