Daily Post–Sliced Bread

Most of us have heard the saying, “That’s the best thing since sliced bread!” What do you think is actually the best thing since sliced bread?

Okay. So this is so lame, but it’s true. Personal computers and the Internet are the best thing since sliced bread. We wouldn’t be blogging without the Internet and our personal computers. We wouldn’t be googling all sorts of information and using Facebook and ordering all sorts of shit online were it not for the Internet and ourpersonal computers.

Personal computers and the Internet have put me back in touch with people I lost touch with years ago and renewed our friendship and made my life more rich. The Internet has given me an outlet for my writing (as good or bad as it is) in the form of blogging and put me in touch with a wonderful community of bloggers who are just as passionate about blogging as I am.

I can find out information about practically anyone or anything by using the Internet search engines such as Google and online encyclopedia like Wikipedia. I can find images of practically anything I like by just typing in a few words. Information is but a click away. Literally.

Nothing has changed our lives more than the Internet and the personal computer. It is the best thing since sliced bread. In fact, it is better than sliced bread. Give me a baguette any day.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
