Rain, Rain, Rain–Read, Read, Read!

It has been a drizzly, rainy, day today. Not a good day to be outside. I was thinking of taking the car for an oil change but didn’t feel like going out in the rain after I had gone to my mailbox. Just too miserable out. It’s also not good for knitting because the natural light isn’t good in my living room today, so I’ve been on a reading marathon. I suppose I could have watched a movie. I thought about that, but I was near the end of one book and decided to finish it. I really wanted to find out who the murderer was (I was completely surprised–I love it when that happens!). Then I read more in another book that I am a good ways through, and then it was on to a third that I just yesterday discovered was published this week and I love this series and HAD to have it and started reading it yesterday just a bit and now have really gotten into it this afternoon. It’s not been a disappointment; it’s every bit as good as the other of his books in the series, and I’m so glad I got the recommendation from GoodReads. So it’s been a reading marathon sort of day after I wrote my little heart out this morning in my blog.

I love rainy days.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
