Six Word Saturday
What Happened To Our Warm Weather?
This is May. San Antonio in May is supposed to be nearly summer-like. We often have highs in the 90s. The first taste of summer temperatures arrives in May. Usually.
But the past two days have seen record low temperatures and very windy–not breezy, but windy, gusty–conditions. It has been downright chilly. Our morning lows have been in the low 40s. We have actually set record lows for May. This morning was the worst by far. I was very chilled when I took the dogs out at 6 a.m. It was really COLD for May. The wind at least has died down today. Yesterday and Thursday were terrible.
Thursday the temperature started out in the 60s with windy conditions and then the temperature dipped down into the 50s. The 50s! This is San Antonio–south Texas, for crying out loud, in May–and this is NOT supposed to happen here. I wore sandals yesterday to get a mani and pedi and thought my toes were going to freeze. The sun was warm in the afternoon, thankfully, but the air was chilly. Today is supposed to warm up to the 70s and tomorrow should be back to the 80s–more normal weather. I’m not one for hot weather, but this cold weather is a bit much at this time of the year. This has been February weather in May. Not a good feeling at all.
