If a restaurant were to name something after you, what would it be? Describe it. (Bonus points if you give us a recipe!)
Photographers, artists, poets: show us DINNER.
There already is a dish named after me. There is Steak Diane, a delicious steak dish where sirloin steak is coated in pepper and pan fried.
However, I suppose I could ask for another dish to be named for me in my guise as “Maire” and to my own tastes. Therefore, I’d like a rib eye steak to be grilled and served with buttered mushrooms and bleu cheese crumble and called Steak Maire. This dish would be my signature dish. It would reflect my tastes and show the world what I like.
I think rib eye steaks and rib eye in general are the most flavorful cut of beef. I love a grilled rib eye steak cooked rare but charred on the outside. Then it would be covered with buttered portobello mushrooms. I love portobello mushrooms and these mushrooms, sautéed in butter would add to the taste of the dish. Then to increase the flavor, I would add bleu cheese crumble on top that would melt into the mushrooms and steak. It would be a heavenly dish!
The Steak Maire would be served with asparagus and a baked potato with sour cream and butter and chives. For dessert, I would offer a cheese cake with raspberry sauce.
This would be the Steak Maire dining experience. But the highlight would be the Steak Maire. It would be world-famous. Everyone would flock to the restaurants that served it. And I would certainly have to try these restaurants to make sure that they were preparing it correctly.
Steak Maire would be the toast of the restaurant-world!
