Daily Prompt–Mirror, Mirror On The Wall

Think of your blog as a mirror: what does it reveal? Consider your blog name, theme choice, design, bio, posts… what does every element tell you about yourself?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us REFLECTIONS.

My blog reveals a lot about me. The name reflects what it is about: my life. I usually respond to the daily prompts which ask about yourself and so I tell about myself. These posts open a window onto my life to my readers. They get to glimpse a little of my life, such as it is.

The other posts that I write are a big part of my life as well. These are the book reviews that I write as part of my book challenge. I have challenged myself to read 125 books this year. (I will meet and surpass that number.) For each book I finish, I write a book review and publish it as a post. The readers get a view of the books I am reading and as a service, they get a review of a good book. It’s part of my life.

The theme of my blog is snow falling in the woods. It’s peaceful and lonely. It reflects what I feel my life is like. I grew up in the woods and we had trees surrounding our home. I grew up in the Northeast where there was snow. I miss snow now that I live in San Antonio. The photo of snow falling in the woods just felt right to reflect what I thought my life was all about. That’s why I chose it for my theme.

So “My Life, Such As It Is” is all about my life, such as it is. Take it or leave it. It’s all about me and my life. Such as it is.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
