Six Word Saturday

Six Word Saturday

I’m Having Lunch With My Family.

This week was my daughter’s birthday. She was in New Orleans with her husband celebrating it on the day of. They took a long weekend and spent it in New Orleans and had a great time.

But I wanted to take S and my granddaughters to lunch. So today is the day when we are going to lunch for S’s birthday. She has picked out a restaurant and is picking me up at 11 a.m. and we will go off for a lovely lunch. I enjoy having lunch with S and the girls. They are always entertaining.

It’s a nice break in the day. We’ll have a couple of hours to ourselves and then the girls will be off to work (they are both working now). And maybe S can catch a nap.

A lovely day.

About mairedubhtx

I am a "youngish" grandmother of 15 year old twin granddaughter who has recently (is a year "recent"?) adopted Islam as my way of life, much to the consternation of my family. I love to read. I love to write. I am writing a book about my decision to revert, about my spiritual journey. I have another blog about stories from my youth, my parents, and grandparents. It's a blog so my OCD daughter will not be able to throw it out when I die. I suffer from depression and anxiety, for which I am treated, so my posts may be a bit dark at times. C'est la vie.
